Callback platform

Our client, a telecommunication company from Hong Kong, worked on the platform for all types of call completion services. The platform included many features, so our client needed the outstaffing support to bring this project to success. Our goal was to build a platform that detects insufficient balance and failed call attempts and generates missed calls.

The situation

The main idea of the platform was that people could talk even with a negative account balance. How does it work? Jack tries to call Leon, but Jack has zero balance and can't complete a call. Then Leon receives the Missed Call notification from Jack, sent by platform, and calls back Jack.

Some networks allow zero-balance subscribers to send SMS notifications like «This subscriber has zero-balance, and is requesting a callback», but missed calls lead to significantly more callbacks than SMS notifications.

Our challenging task was to make a missed call appear on the screen without a real call. Another goal was to make this notification looks natural for users.

The solution

We developed such features:
  • Real missed call notification on the screen.
  • The platform shows the name and number of the caller.
  • Calls look like regular phone calls.
  • The function is automatic and requires a one-step setting.
  • The platform can work without a network.

Together with the client team, we developed a convenient platform that allows users not to miss important conversations even without money on account. A missed call looks natural for people and comes at the same time as the call. So, the subscriber is always in touch, which is especially important for business people.

In addition, displaying the name of the caller and his number, allows the second subscriber to immediately call back. So, during this project, we have created a platform that successfully integrates with 30 different networks worldwide, and makes people closer.
